Mughal's influence on Indian Music

Indian music is popular around the world, not only because of rhythms but their instruments as well. Particularly when Muslim Arabs, Mughals and Pakhtoon reside in subcontinent, they influenced many things like culture, tradition and music.
The Mughal music have influenced the Indian audience in order to have more entertainment.
Mughal era came with many improvements in each and every part of Indian culture, Indians were so much involved in art of entertainment, and dance with music were important part of their culture, even it is an important part of their worships, when Mughals invade they improved Indian music with extremely delighted combination of Uzbek, Persian, and Indian Music with became so attractive for whole world.

Akbar made the Hindustani singers sing and learn music in their Mughal court. By doing this, he could evolve the style and merge the Indian and the Persian style during the Mughal era. He made Tansen come to the Mughal court to learn and compose music there. Tansen perfected the Dhrupad style of singing but he also did the Khayal style for the Mughals but he worshipped and sang only for Hindu gods.
Akbar was the king of Gwalior and he wanted to evolve the Carnatic music and he used this means to do so and he also encourage the singers by paying them with gold coins and also the assurance of more audience and better reputation. Aurangzeb did allow singing in his court however, he allowed musical instruments.

The Mughals came with their own style of music., which lead to the evolution of the Hindustani music stringed veena also known as the rudra veena was the most famous musical instrument in Mughal period. However, new instruments were emerged during the Mughal era like the sitar and tabla which is now widely used in Indian classical music in India. Mughals have given the music and style that spread all over subcontinent territories that is still an essential part of Indian music, indeed.
